  2. 50 pts - Use Case Generation

    Refs: (Video) Use Case mechanics | Use Case example template

    1. In a document you name LMSUseCases.docx, prepare a list of five major use cases involved with using D2L by students, instructors, or administrators. Each use case should get an identifier (e.g., UC01, UC02, ...). In addition each use case on the list should include the basic information like that from System A&D Ch 4 Figure 4-9. [Screen cap of figure 4-9]
    2. Elaborate each use case using the Use Case Template (one document per use case); name each document beginning with its ID (e.g., UC01-StudentChecksGrades.docx, UC02-InstructorCreatesQuiz.docx, ...).
    3. Create a use case diagram in Visio which includes all use cases, the relevant actors, and the appropriate interactions. Name the Visio file LMSUseCases.vsdx.
    4. Attach all seven documents to this assignment in D2L.

  3. 25 pts - Use Case Validation

    1. The Use Case Sample document contains three use cases for a system under analysis. Prepare a document named UseCaseValidation.docx which includes:
      1. A brief description of the system being considered (as determined by reviewing the use cases);
      2. A list of the use cases presented (by name) and for each, identify whether they were clear and complete and if not, why not.
      3. Identify (at least) 3 other use cases (by name and brief description) that might be considered for inclusion in the system.
      4. Include an initial list of functional requirements for the system as derived from all use cases.
    2. Create a use case diagram in Visio which includes all use cases, the relevant actors, and the appropriate interactions. Name the Visio file ClubUseCases.vsdx but import the diagram into the validation document as well it appears with the text.
    3. Attach both documents to this assignment in D2L.
